Lake Geneva does summer better than anywhere else in the Midwest, and the fireworks calendar this year is the proof. America turns 250 in 2026, which means the usual lineup of shows is bigger, the drone displays are new, and the lake itself becomes the best seat in the house for almost every event.

Sunday Night Fireworks All Summer Long

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa Summer Sunday Fireworks Every Sunday from May 31 through August 30, fireworks at 9:00 or 9:15 PM 7036 Grand Geneva Way, Lake Geneva

The Grand Geneva runs fireworks every single Sunday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The show is officially for resort guests and anyone with a restaurant or picnic reservation on property, but the display is also visible from the Geneva Square shopping center parking lot and Veterans Park. If you want the full experience, book a resort stay and take advantage of the Sunday extras like the Pool Bash, Glow Putting, and lakeside fire pits.

Fourth of July Weekend Lineup

The Fourth lands on a Saturday in 2026, which stretches the celebration across the full week. Here's the day-by-day breakdown.

Saturday, June 27 — Town of Delavan Lakefest Family activities start at 6:00 PM, fireworks at dusk Delavan Lake Community Park, 1220 S. Shore Dr., Delavan

Lakefest is the kickoff. Kids fishing, sand sculptors, food trucks, live music, and a fireworks show at dusk. Come early, stay late, plan on parking a few blocks out.

Saturday, June 27 — Lake Lawn Resort Two ways to do it.

The Lake Lawn Queen Fireworks Boat Tour boards at 7:30 PM and departs at 8:00 PM for a 2.5-hour sunset cruise across Delavan Lake. Live music from the Blackwater Duo (60s through 80s rock, pop, country), front-row fireworks views, and two drink tickets included. Cocktails available for purchase.

If you'd rather stay on land, Lake Lawn Resort runs lakefront concessions, cocktails, and a DJ Felix party from 5:00 to 11:00 PM behind the Hut and in the Great Room lakefront area, with fireworks closing out the night.

Sunday, June 28 — Grand Geneva Resort & Spa Fireworks at dusk

The Grand Geneva kicks off Fourth of July week with a special Sunday display. Resort, dining, and golf guests get the full experience. Non-guests can catch the show from the Geneva Square shopping center parking lot or Veterans Park.

Friday, July 3 — Grand Geneva Independence Day Celebration Family activities 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, fireworks at dusk

This is the big one at Grand Geneva. They're going all out for America's 250th with an extended fireworks spectacular, a live band, a glowing LED robot, and a stilt-walking Uncle Sam. Reservations required for the on-property festivities. The fireworks themselves are viewable from Geneva Square shopping center parking lot or Veterans Park if you're not a guest.

Friday, July 3 — City of Elkhorn Star Spangled Celebration Family activities 5:00 to 9:00 PM, fireworks at dusk Sunset Park, 200 Devendorf St., Elkhorn

Live music from the Holton Band, kids activities, food and snacks from Elkhorn 4-H and FFA, fireworks to close. Easy parking compared to the lakefront shows, and a good pick if you're staying west of the lake.

Friday, July 3 — Lake Geneva Country Club Fireworks at dusk W3398 S. Lake Shore Dr., Lake Geneva

Members-only event, but the fireworks are visible from Geneva Lake's east end and from anywhere on the water. If you've got boat access, this is one of the prettiest shows of the week.

Friday, July 3 — Lake Geneva Cruise Line Fireworks Cruise Boat departs 7:30 PM from the Riviera Docks, 812 Wrigley Dr., Lake Geneva

Family-friendly fireworks tour from out on the water. Best view in the area for the Country Club show.

Saturday, July 4 — Liberty on the Lake Family activities start at 5:00 PM, drone show at dusk Flat Iron Park, 201 Wrigley Dr., Lake Geneva

This is the headline event of the year. Lake Geneva is marking America's 250th birthday with a state-of-the-art drone light show over the lake instead of traditional fireworks. EZFM, a Midwest yacht rock favorite, plays a live outdoor concert leading up to the show. Get there early. Flat Iron Park fills up.

Saturday, July 4 — Village of Fontana Fireworks Fireworks at dusk South Lake Shore Dr., Fontana-on-Geneva Lake

Fontana's traditional fireworks display, viewable from Fontana Beach, Reid Park, anywhere along Geneva Lake's west end, or from a boat on the lake. If you're staying on the west end of the lake, this is your show.

Saturday, July 4 — City of Delavan Independence Day Fireworks Flag ceremony and fireworks at 9:00 PM Borg Stadium at Delavan-Darien High School, 1420 Hobbs Dr., Delavan

American Legion Post 95 runs the flag ceremony, and Delavan goes big for the 250th with a grand finale display.

Saturday, July 4 — Lake Geneva Cruise Line Drone Show Cruise Boat departs 8:00 PM from the Riviera Docks

Watch the Liberty on the Lake drone show from the water aboard the Walworth. The reflections off the lake make this a completely different experience than watching from shore.

Saturday, July 4 — Lake Geneva Cruise Line Fireworks Jazz Dinner Cruise Boat departs 7:30 PM from the Riviera Docks

Fine dining, live jazz, full cash bar, and lake views of the drone show. Books up fast.

Late Summer Fireworks

The season isn't over after the Fourth. Two more major shows close out August.

Saturday, August 8 — Williams Bay Lions Club Corn & Brat Roast Three-day festival August 7 through 9, fireworks Saturday at dusk Edgewater Park, E. Geneva St., Williams Bay

What started as a small corn roast 50 years ago is now a three-day event with food vendors, multiple music acts, and a fireworks show after sunset on Saturday. Old-school Lake Geneva at its best.

Sunday, August 23 — Venetian Festival Fireworks at dusk Lake Geneva Lakefront

The 64th Annual Venetian Festival closes out summer with a lighted boat parade followed by fireworks. Watch from Riviera Beach, Library Park, the Geneva Lake lakefront, or Flat Iron Park.

Sunday, August 23 — Lake Geneva Cruise Line Venetian Fest Cruises Two options, both depart 7:30 PM from the Riviera Docks

The Fireworks Jazz Dinner Cruise pairs dinner and live jazz with fireworks views. The Venetian Fest Cocktail Cruise features live music from local favorite Terry Byrne. Venetian Fest has been a Lake Geneva tradition since 1962, and watching it from the water is the way to do it once.

Tips From Someone Who Lives Here

Parking gets ugly fast for the Lake Geneva shows. Plan on walking a few blocks if you're driving in for Liberty on the Lake or the Venetian Festival. Better yet, stay within walking distance.

Bring chairs and blankets for the land shows. Bug spray for the lakefront. The mosquitoes know exactly when the sun goes down.

Book your boat cruises early. The dinner cruises and fireworks tours sell out weeks ahead, especially for July 4 and Venetian Fest.

If you're catching the Grand Geneva Sunday shows from Veterans Park or the Geneva Square parking lot, you're not getting the resort amenities, but the fireworks themselves are free and the view is solid.

For the lake-side shows like Fontana, Lake Geneva Country Club, and Liberty on the Lake, the best seat in the house is on the water. If you don't have boat access, the cruise line options are worth the price.
